Inception
Alterscope founders Benedikt and Marijo met at the Technical University of Munich.
While studying his MBA, Marijo took an interest in DeFi and was soon programming his own prototypes. At the same time, Benedikt was taking a PhD in DeFi and platform economics.
Ideation
They identified a gap in the market for systemic risk identification and mitigation within decentralized systems.
The pair addressed the problem from a technical-fundamental perspective and subsequently launched the first MVPs.
Initialization
In early 2022, the work prompted the creation of Solity Network, which evolved into Alterscope.
Alterscope went on to secure grants and funding, establish presences in Germany, the UK, and Croatia, scale the Alterscope team, and launch its risk infrastructure.

Leadership team
After meeting at the Technical University of Munich, Benedikt and
Marijo began collaborating, excited by web3’s potential to shape a fairer financial system.
Benedikt’s PhD research into DeFi economics complemented Marijo’s executive MBA, which was prefaced by over a decade in R&D management. With a background in strategy consulting including three years with Roland Berger, Benedikt was also equipped with practical business experience.
Alterscope’s executive team was completed with the addition of Giada, whose 20-year career in capital markets includes positions at several renowned institutions.
